Where is Mr. Lucky?

The production of Mr. Lucky vegetables are in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico.  The processing plant is in Irapuato, and the crops are grown in the central and northern part of the state.
The distribution centers are located in Mexico city, Monterrey, Guadalajara y Cancun.

What varieties of vegetables are handled by Mr. Lucky?

Varieties of Lettuce include Iceberg, Romaine, Italian, Red Leaf, Green Leaf, Butterhead, Endive, and Gourmet Lettuce.  Varieties of Tomatoes include Beefsteak, Cherry, Heirloom, and Grape.  We also carry celery, broccoli, garlic, shallot, cauliflower, spinach, asparagus, red and green cabbage, radicchio, cilantro, beets, sweet corn, carrots, pumpkin, strawberry, raspberries, blackberries, and snow peas.

Where can I find Mr. Lucky vegetabes?

Mr. Lucky products can be found in supermarkets in Mexico, the United States, and Canada, as well as in other countries.  However, the line of Mr. Lucky vegetables carried by each store may vary.  When you visit a store where you do not find our products, we recommend you share your preference for Mr. Lucky with the manager of the fruits and vegetables department.


Are your vegetables ready for consumption or do they require disinfection before use?

We have two lines of vegetables: fresh, and fresh-cut salads.  Fresh vegetables need to be washed thoroughly, as indicated on the packaging.  The pre-cut vegetables or salads are already washed and ready for consumption, as indicated on the packaging.


What is an organic vegetable?

Organic vegetables are planted and cultivated with a production system that seeks harmony and preservation of the environment through:

  • Use of natural additives such as compost, green manure, and natural organic extracts.
  • Rejecting use of synthetic fertilizers (chemical or chemical synthesis).
  • Rejecting use of pesticides and synthetic pesticides (chemical or chemical synthesis).
  • Avoiding use of any product that is artificial, unhealthy, or harmful to the environment.

Organic vegetables are free of toxic or synthetic substances, and are more healthy and nutritious.

 

Does Mr. Lucky have certified organic vegetables?  Which types?

Yes, Mr. Lucky harvests all organic vegetables and maintains CCOF certification under the USDA, which confirms and guarantees compliance with the practices of organic agriculture.
Organic vegetables include: Iceberg, Romaine, Red Leaf, Green Leaf, Italian, Butterhead; celery, celery hearts, radicchio, spinach, garlic; Beefsteak, Cherry, Grape tomatoes; and pre-cut Italian and French organic salads.

Does Mr. Lucky sell their vegetables to anyone else?  What are the presentations and market segments that include Mr. Lucky product?

Mr. Lucky vegetables are sold to vendors who sell our fresh produce and salads to restaurants, hotels, diners, hospitals, cafeterias, and convenience stores.

Our packaging is ideal for either family or individual portions.

Which areas of Mexico and the U.S.A. have Mr. Lucky distribution?  What is the geographic coverage of Mr. Lucky?

We distribute Mr. Lucky product in virtually all the national territory through our distribution centers in Irapuato, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Cancun, Torreon, Ciudad Obregon, Chihuahua, and Tijuana.  We also cover the United States and parts of Canada through our distribution center in McAllen, Texas.

Which certifications guarantee the quality of Mr. Lucky vegetables?

Mr. Lucky has certification in: GAB, GMP, HACCP, SQF 2000 Level III, CCOF, USDA, MCS, Kosher, SENASICA, and Primus Lab.
